Early morning’s bright sun shine it seems a bit different today. Open the window, hear the seagulls, Spring is finally here………

What a beautiful week-the sun is shining, the blossom is making a long awaited appearance on the trees and dare I say it? People are smiling as they stroll down the street-Spring is finally here. My Springtime finally arrived last week when we had our first Spring Shoot of the year. Gorgeous Ruby toddling determinedly through the daffodils. I’m sure these beautiful images of her will melt the coldest of hearts-what do you think?

Who can resist Ruby-even when she’s pulling this cute little face?

Whether she’s proudly toddling about or dusting herself off after a tumble, Ruby looks adorable.

A very short post today as I immerse myself in Christmas dinner preparation for 15, wrapping paper and tinsel. There is nothing better than a tramp through crunchy golden leaves on a fresh Autumn day, especially if you have just learnt to walk and everything is a novelty. We had a lovely time chasing Amelia and her family through the autumn leaves recently on a family shoot. Amelia was so proud of her new walkiing skills that she was not keen on keeping still for long so there was a lot of rolling around after her and distracting her with late blooming rose petals to throw in the air!

Lazing on a Sunny Afternoon – Gorgeous Holly makes her debut

At the end of September when we basked in the gloriously unexpected late summer heatwave I had a lovely few hours photographing beautiful Holly with her mum and dad, Leanne & Neil. After some posing in the park, Holly had a little nap-she looked so sweet that we just carried on photographing, and then we were back home so that dog Ruby could join in the fun.

Ruby shines – a baby portrait

A couple of months ago I had the pleasure of photographing the gorgeous Ruby at her home in Worsley. She was a lovely doll of a baby, gentle and placid and a joy to work with. I love photographing new babies-their tiny little hands and feet, soft skin and big eyes, then watching them develop individual personalities as they grow into chuckling chubby babies and cheeky tottering toddlers as part of our Watch Me Grow service.

A few weeks ago gorgeous Apollonia had her second baby shoot with us in a park in Worsley. She was an absolute star and you can see from the images below why she melted my heart and became my favourite baby of the year She is just at the age where she has such an expressive little face and I think I captured most of those in our shoot. Last month before the weather turned tropical, we met with Rachel & Sarah for a portrait shoot in the park. I love photographing babies and children-Sarah was a real poser and Rachel was very cute. Time flies and our children grow almost quicker than a blink of the eye. It doesn’t seem like 5 minutes since my daughters were tiny and now they are 6 and 9 -answring back and singing along to Take That and Rihanna.

A McAvoy family portrait shoot is about more than taking photos to document a child’s growh. It’s about preserving memories-a visual memory that captures the magic of each moment in time.
