Once upon a time there was an angel called Lily who was discovering the magic of Christmas and winter for the very first time. The sparkle of tinsle, the twinkle of fairy lights, that first feel of icy snow falling through your fingers, the never ending crisp white blanket of untouched snow and the crunch crunch of those first steps.
With snow either here or on the way I thought it would be fitting to revisit a magical family shoot from this time last year. We skidded up to Huddersfield to photograph Sam, Rich and Lily decorating the Christmas tree and then tramping through the knee high blanket of pristine, crisp white snow. It was my absolute favourite winter shoot and after seeing these photos I guarantee you will be filled with Christmas spirit and the thought of the snow to come will not feel quite so bad.
Leave a comment and you’ll have a chance to win a fabulous winter shoot of your very own with a free desk frame, worth £450.

Fabulous! What wonderful winter wonderland memories for the family to treasure:) Thanks for sharing x
This is beautiful! Love the first pic, made me smile too. There are such lovely pics of Lily as well – the snowy backdrops, little rosy cheeks…
I must admit I went straight for the pictures, got halfway through then thought “where on earth have they been?!” and had to check and find out the shoot was last year. Hee! I write for a living; you’d think I could read too wouldn’t you.
Beautiful pics. I’ll share this on my blog – don’t enter me in your competition though, I have the grumpiest teenage stepchildren ever! (bless ‘em!)

Thanks for the lovely comments Claire
Lily is gorgeous and since then she has a little sister so cant wait for part 2-hopefully in the Spring. Her dad had just returned from serving in Afghanistan so the snow was a bit of a shock to him! I love photographing grumpy teenagers-they usually end up being the biggest posers!
Hi my friend! I want to say that this post is awesome, nice written and include almost all significant infos. I would like to see more posts like this.
